On-Site and Online Training Resources
Our Information Professional Consultants (IPCs) are available to provide you with convenient, personalized, customized training on-site or through web conferencing. Site visits require a minimum level of attendance, while web conferences do not have minimum attendance requirements and can be attended from diverse locations. We'll work with you to select the most appropriate method of training.
Remote using MeetingPlace (Web Conferencing)
MeetingPlace is a software that enables users in different geographic locations to enjoy training on LexisNexis web products without the need to leave their offices. The instructor provides a URL to which training attendees log onto at a predetermined time using their internet browser. The instructor will have, in advance of the session, uploaded slides about the product to the specified URL. Slides are generally in PowerPoint with some digression to live websites (i.e. to our web services.)
In addition to connecting to a URL, which controls what attendees experience visually during the training, users also dial into a conference call via a toll free number. This way, attendees hear the instructor as he/she explains the screens in front of them. Users are not required to sit in front of their own PC's in their offices for the training, although many prefer this convenience. The training is also available to a BI room, provided that that room has speaker phone capability. Attendees may ask questions of the instructor either verbally, using the conference call tool, or via the MeetingPlace software (by typing questions).
