Payment Options
Payment TermsFor customers with approved credit, prepayment is not required. Our regular payment terms are net 30 days. Payment must be in U.S. dollars only.
All U.S. customers, unless tax-exempt, please add appropriate sales and use tax for your state. If you are tax-exempt you must provide us with a copy of your tax exemption certificate or we are required by law to bill you for sales and use tax. Canadian customers, please add 7% for Goods and Services Tax or, for the maritime provinces, 15% for HST. Deferred Payment Options
LexisNexis offers special interest-free payment terms on non-subscription products that allow U.S. and Canadian libraries with approved credit to pay for their purchases in installments made in separate budget years. Depending on the amount of order, all the published material is shipped to the purchaser for immediate use and is protected from price increases. Deferred payment plans are available on orders totaling $20,000 or more. Please inquire for details.
Eligibility for the deferred payment plan is determined by the net price of the order after all applicable discounts have been deducted. As a matter of federal policy, deferred payment is not available to U.S. government agencies. Price Changes
Prices and special offers are subject to change or withdrawal without notice. However, once your order is placed at its current price, you will receive any appropriate discounts and/or special benefits applicable at the time, and the order will be considered firm even if a higher price may be in effect at the time of delivery. Annual Volume Discount Plan for Print and Microform Purchasers
You may be eligible for a discount in 2007 based on the net total of your purchases of CIS and UPA collections made directly from LexisNexis in 2006. For example, if your library spent $30,000 on CIS and UPA print and microform purchases in 2006, you will automatically receive a 10% discount on new orders of print and microform titles for the entire calendar year beginning January 1, 2007. LexisNexis web services, standing order payments for LexisNexis CIS collections, LexisNexis UPA collections, and subscription renewals are ineligible for the discount. If you have not received a letter notifying your library of its 2007 volume discount, contact our Customer Service representatives to find out whether you qualify. Purchases of CIS and UPA microform and print collections made directly from LexisNexis between January 1 and December 31, 2006 (excluding web services, CIS and UPA standing orders, and subscription renewals) qualify your library for the following discounts in the year 2007: Total 2007 Purchase Amount Discount $1,000-$9,999 5%
